Requirements

Under general supervision, the Fire Engineer will assist in fire suppression, medical emergencies and res-cues; perform apparatus, building and grounds maintenance; perform fire prevention, fuel reduction efforts, fire inspections and public education activities; repair and test fire apparatus, equipment, buildings, and grounds; participate in training and educational activities; maintain records and reports; will operate and drive fire apparatus; and other related work. May be assigned additional tasks with limited and/or no supervision.
In addition to the above, employees may be assigned to cover for vacation, sick, education training, and other necessary work periods at various facilities.
