Requirements
Kittitas County Fire District 7 is seeking highly motivated candidates that are interested in being selected for nine full-time Firefighter/EMT positions. Applicants must be self-motivated and able to work efficiently while being unsupervised. These are FEMA, SAFER grant funded positions for a period of three years. These positions will provide 24/7 coverage for fire and emergency medical services emergencies. The prospective candidates will be evaluated based on many aspects to include; education, training, physician?s examination, written test, assessment lab and Chief?s interview. Successful candidates must produce a current Candidate Physical Ability Test (CPAT) card prior to an offer of employment. The District will maintain an eligibility list for a period of 1 year with the option to extend.
Minimum Requirements
? Must have a high school diploma or G.E.D. certificate.
? Must be a legal resident of the United States
? Must be at least 18 years of age or older.
? Must have a valid Washington State Driver?s License
? Must meet knowledge, health, and physical qualifications established by the District.
? Must pass a background investigation by the District, or Districts agent, and the Washington State Patrol.
? Must pass a pre-employment physical exam and drug test.
Salary and Benefits
? Starting Salary is $60,000 annually for three years and Benefits. Benefits include a generous employee benefit package and LEOFF II retirement.
Preferred Qualifications
? Have and maintain a current State of Washington Emergency Medical Technician Certificate.
? NWCG certified Firefighter II
? Must have I-100, I-200, and I-700 certifications
? Have IFSAC FF1 and Hazardous Materials Operations
? Two years structural FF experience
? 2 or 4 year college degree
