Job Description
The Borger Fire Department currently has an opening(s) for a firefighter recruit. Firefighter Recruits are not currently certified by TCFP as a Texas Structural Firefighter and may or may not be certified by the Texas Department of State Health Services as an EMT-Basic. The City of Borger will compensate the successful candidate while he/she attends a Texas Fire Academy and EMT-Basic certification course of the City?s choosing and at the City?s expense. This City will also pay for any lodging, travel, uniforms, books or any other cost associated with the training and certification. Candidates will also be expected to work as scheduled and required at the Borger Central Fire Station.
