Requirements
The Town of Littleton Fire & Rescue Department is accepting qualified candidates for two career Firefighter/AEMT (Paramedic) position. Littleton is a vibrant community of approx. 6000 residents located in the White Mountains along the Vermont border. Minimum Qualifications Include:
High School Diploma
Valid New Hampshire Driver?s License including CDL-B with tank endorsement (required
within 6 months of employment.)
NH Firefighter II or Pro Board Certified Firefighter II
Nationally Registered Advanced Emergency Medical Technician (Paramedic preferred)
Current CPAT or Lateral transfer pursuant to New Hampshire Administrative Rule, Chapter
Fire 703
Associates Degree in Fire Science/Technology is desirable.
This position is a union position and is scheduled for 48-hours per week consisting of 24-hour shifts. Successful candidates must be available to respond to off-shift emergencies and work overtime shifts as necessary. Starting rate for probationary firefighters is $20.38 to $20.79 per hour depending on EMS certification level. Benefits include paid leave, medical/life/disability insurance, NH Retirement System, and uniform allowance.
The Town of Littleton conducts extensive pre-employment background/criminal/motor vehicle records checks, a NFPA 1582 pre-employment physical and drug & alcohol testing for all successful applicant candidates.
