Job Description
The Firefighter Trainee is hired into a civilian position for the period of time assigned to the Fire Academy. Upon successful completion of training, transitions to Firefighter position with sworn appointment. Responds to emergency alarms, lays lines, directs water streams and extinguishers, carries and sets up ladders, ventilates buildings, rescues persons and animals, and provides paramedic/medical aid.
Requirements: High school diploma or GED, California Driver's License, Fire Academy certification upon completion
Salary: $122,075.20 - $128,169.60 Annually
