FIREFIGHTER (PER DIEM / EXTRA HELP)

Per diem/extra help firefighter position with the Jackson Fire Department. Requires California State Fire Marshall Firefighter 1 certificate and valid California EMT-1 or EMT-B certification. Must be 18 years old and able to pass background investigation, drug screening, and medical examination. Persons selected must become a JFD driver/operator within 12 months of hire.

Requirements: Age 18+, high school diploma or GED, California CSFM Firefighter 1 certificate, valid California EMT-1 or EMT-B certificate (Mountain Valley EMS certification at time of hire), valid California driver's license with Firefighter Endorsement or CDL (or ability to obtain within 12 months), ability to pass background investigation and drug screening and medical examination
