Job Description
Volunteer firefighter position with Sugar Loaf Fire Protection District. Responds to 911 calls including structure fires, wildfires, motor vehicle accidents, medical emergencies, and rescue operations. Initial training period takes about one year with weeknight and weekend training sessions. Once trained, firefighters must respond to at least 15% of district calls (~110 annually) and attend monthly trainings.
Requirements: Must live in the Sugar Loaf Fire Protection District; physical fitness; medical personnel or equipment operation skills valued; commitment to attend training first and third Wednesdays and one Saturday monthly
