Career Firefighter/EMT

Firefighters provide fire suppression, emergency medical response, rescue, fire prevention, and public education services across approximately 750 square miles of rural central Colorado. Duties include extinguishing fires, vehicle/water/building/ice rescue, station maintenance, equipment maintenance, and training. Personnel must be comfortable operating independently in extended response times and challenging terrain.

Requirements: H.S. Diploma or equivalent, Valid FireTEAM test score (National Testing Network), Firefighter 1 certification (IFSAC or PRO Board certified if from another state), EMT-Basic (must obtain Colorado EMT-B within 1 year of hire), Hazardous Materials First Responder Operations (IFSAC or PRO Board certified if from another state), Class R driver's license or CDL (obtain Colorado DL within 30 days if out of state), ICS 100/200, NIMS 700/800, S-130/190, L-180

Salary: Firefighter probation- $63,600; Firefighter without EMT- $66,150; Firefighter with EMT- $69,300
