Firefighter Recruit

Full-service firefighter recruit position with West Metro Fire Rescue, serving nearly 300,000 residents across 110+ square miles in the Lakewood, CO area. Candidates must complete physical agility test (PAT), written exam (70% passing score), oral board interview, and background investigation including polygraph and psychological evaluation. EMT certification no longer required prior to hire; WMFR provides EMT training post-academy.

Requirements: 18 years or older, valid driver's license, physician's release form for PAT, must pass PAT and written exam (70%), oral board interview, background investigation with polygraph and psychological evaluation, physical exam, drug/alcohol testing

Salary: 0-5 Months $73,184.43, 6-14 Months $78,814.00, 15-24 Months $90,073.14, 25-30 Months $95,702.72, 31-36 Months $106,961.86, Base Salary $112,591.43
