Job Description
Volunteer firefighters at Haddam Volunteer Fire Company train to combat, extinguish and prevent fires; operate fire apparatus; and respond to approximately 600 emergency calls per year. Members must be 18+, have a valid Connecticut driver's license, pass background checks and physical exam. No prior fire service experience required. Probationary membership period of roughly one year with Firefighter I and II certification opportunities.
Requirements: Age 18 or older, valid Connecticut driver's license, satisfactory driving record, pass background checks and physical exam, Firefighter I and II certifications (provided by department)
