Job Description
Volunteer firefighters train to combat, extinguish and prevent fires of all types, operate fire apparatus, use power tools, and respond to approximately 600 emergency calls per year (70% medical emergencies). Training includes Firefighter I and II certification, EMS, Haz-Mat, and other specialized courses. Minimum 10% call attendance required.
Requirements: 18+ years old, valid Connecticut driver's license with satisfactory driving record, pass background checks and physical exam, no prior fire service experience required
