Job Description
Volunteer firefighter operates safely as part of a team under incident commander direction at emergency scenes. Operates hose lines, ladders, electrical equipment, breathing apparatus (SCBA), hydraulic equipment, and various power and hand tools. Obtains training through monthly in-house training and state-sponsored classes. Participates in company functions including fundraisers and work projects.
Requirements: Live in or adjacent to East Great Plain Fire Company response district, physically able to perform tasks in hazardous environment, able to attend entry-level and ongoing training, pass department interview and background check, team player, available to respond to emergency calls
