Volunteer Firefighter

Learn to work as a team to protect lives and property. Duties include suppression of all types of fires (structure, brush, vehicles), extrication of victims at fire and motor vehicle accidents, water rescues, hazmat incidents, and assist with medical issues. Required fire company training and formal certification courses are available.

Requirements: Age 18 or older, CT motor vehicle driver's license with no points, reside within Mohegan Fire Company response district or within 5 miles of fire station, desire to become active CT certified interior firefighter, pass fire company interview and background investigation, medical/physical clearance, complete minimum one year probationary period, obtain CT certification
