Job Description
Volunteer Firefighter position with the Town of Vernon Fire Department. Members meet once weekly (Mondays 7:00-9:00 PM) for training, equipment maintenance, and department meetings. New members complete a 2-night introductory training program followed by 12+ nights of basic firefighting training. No prior experience necessary.
Requirements: Age 14-70 (junior members age 14-17 limited to non-interior structural firefighting), physical exam, police background check, Firefighter I certification (120 hours), EMT certification optional (120 hours)
