Job Description
Volunteer firefighter position with the City of Winsted Fire Department. Duties include fire extinguishing, lifesaving operations, motor vehicle incidents, water rescue, rope rescue, hazardous materials response, and weather emergencies. Must pass state firefighter 1 certification to respond to calls as an interior firefighter.
Requirements: Age 18+, US citizen, current CT driver's license, acceptable driving record, pass criminal background investigation, pass department physical exam and drug screening, Firefighter 1 certification (state), CPR certification (2-year), blood-borne and airborne pathogens training, Hazmat awareness training, live burn training
