Job Description
Volunteer firefighter position with the City of Winsted Fire Department. Duties include fire extinguishing, lifesaving operations, motor vehicle incidents, water rescue, rope rescue, hazardous materials response, and weather emergencies. Must pass state firefighter 1 certification to be an interior firefighter.
Requirements: 18+ years old, US citizen, current CT driver's license, acceptable driving record, pass criminal background investigation, pass department physical exam and drug screening, participate in mandatory training including weekly sessions, live burn, SCBA mask fit test, hazmat operational training, bloodborne & airborne pathogen training, CPR certification (2-year)
