Firefighter/Paramedic

Performs responsible public safety work involving protecting life and property. Responds to alarms and extinguishes fires, rescue calls, medical incidents; renders emergency and non-emergency care; engages in fire codes enforcement, public education, station and equipment maintenance. Maintains constant state of readiness for any emergency within the district.

Requirements: 18+ years old, high school graduate or GED, ability to read/write/speak English, Florida Class E or Commercial Driver's License with safe driving record, Florida Firefighter I/II Certificate, Florida EMT or Paramedic Certification, CPR-BLS for Healthcare Provider, ACLS (Paramedics), NIMS Incident Command certifications I-100/I-200/I-700/I-800, tobacco-free 1+ year prior and during employment, Associate degree in Fire Protection or related field preferred
