Volunteer Firefighter/EMT or Firefighter/Paramedic

Performs responsible public safety work protecting life and property on a volunteer basis. Responds to alarms, prevents and extinguishes fires, responds to rescue and medical incidents, enforces fire codes, provides public education, and maintains station equipment. Operates under supervision of Company Officer or Incident Commander.

Requirements: 18+ years old; high school graduate or GED; valid Florida Class E Driver's License; safe driving record; Florida Firefighter II Certificate; EMT or Paramedic certification; CPR-BLS for Healthcare Provider; ACLS (for Paramedics); NIMS certifications (I-100, I-200, I-700, I-800); tobacco-free during employment
