Full-Time Firefighter/Paramedic

The Emerald Isle Fire Department seeks dedicated individuals to join as Full-Time Firefighter/Paramedics. Under general supervision, this position performs emergency medical services, fire suppression, rescue operations, fire prevention, and administrative duties on a 48/96 hour shift schedule.

Requirements: High School/GED with 1-2 years related work experience (1 year emergency medical care); NC Firefighter I/II certification within 12 months; NC or equivalent Paramedic certification; Hazardous Materials Operations level within 12 months; ACLS, PHTLS, PALS certification; Valid NC Class C driver's license; Ability to obtain NC Fire Inspector I within 24 months; Heavy physical effort capability (lift up to 100+ pounds)

Salary: Hiring rate $61,108. Salary range: $64,163 - 90,440
