Firefighter

Firefighter position with Idaho Falls Fire Department. All firefighters are cross-trained as EMTs or paramedics with additional credentials for specialty teams including swift water rescue, search and rescue, hazardous materials, and all-hazards incident management. The department typically holds one to two recruit academies per year.

Requirements: At least 18 years of age by test date, High School Diploma or equivalent, valid Driver's License, pass medical examination, pass background check, complete written exam, physical agility test (Combat Challenge under 7 minutes plus 75-foot ladder climb), and interviews
