Job Description
Firefighter position with the City of Monmouth Fire Department. Applicants must pass physical agility test, written exam, background investigation, oral interview, medical examination, drug screen, and psychological/polygraph examinations. Orientation and testing scheduled for Saturday, April 18, 2026.
Requirements: Minimum 21 years old, under 35 years old (with possible exemptions), U.S. citizen, high school/GED diploma, valid driver's license, residency requirement of 20 miles from Monmouth after one-year probation, CPAT certification from licensed agency within 12 months prior (optional, exempts from physical agility test but ladder climb still required)
Salary: $51,818 base pay plus generous benefit package. $62,871+ base pay after a one-year probation.
