Job Description
Full-time Firefighter/Paramedic position with the Prospect Heights Fire Protection District. Applicants must possess valid Illinois EMT-Basic license and obtain EMT-Paramedic certification by time of appointment. Must pass CPAT physical ability test and ladder climb. Position involves responding to emergency incidents including fire and EMS calls.
Requirements: U.S. citizen or work authorization, age 21-35 (waivers available), valid driver's license, High School Diploma or GED, valid Illinois EMT-Basic license, valid CPAT card within one year, must obtain Illinois EMT-Paramedic license and NWCH EMS approval
Salary: Starting annual salary for licensed paramedic with firefighter certification is $89,658 Starting salary for licensed paramedic without firefighter certification is $82,282 Top Salary is $122,735
