Job Description
Part-time/paid on-call firefighter position with the City of Silvis Fire Department. Silvis Firefighters receive training through the University of Illinois Fire Service Institute (IFSI) and training covers safety, PPE, SCBA, ladders, extrication tools, hoses, nozzles, water streams, and hand/power tools used in firefighting. New firefighters start responding to calls and training on day one.
Requirements: Must reside in the State of Illinois, permanent residence within 13-minute drive to either fire station per Google Maps, basic understanding of safety and firefighting equipment
