Job Description
Under supervision of the Fire Chief, responds to fire alarms and emergency calls to protect life and property. Operates pumping engines, aerial ladder trucks, and emergency equipment. Performs fire suppression, rescue, hazardous material response, and station maintenance. Participates in fire prevention and training programs.
Requirements: High school diploma equivalent, valid Class B driver's license, ability to achieve Firefighter I under NFPA Standards within 18 months, certified at Awareness Level for hazardous materials within one year, First Responder level training desirable, physical agility, ability to move 200+ pound persons
