Job Description
Volunteer firefighter position with Mulvane Fire Rescue. New member class held normally in January, lasting 6-8 weeks (one night per week plus couple Saturdays). Training covers basic essentials of firefighting and fire ground safety. Candidates have 3 years to achieve Firefighter I certification, taught in-house.
Requirements: Kansas residency preferred, ability to complete new members class, must achieve Firefighter I certification within 3 years, optional certifications (EMT, Paramedic, First Responder, Driver-Operator) for additional compensation
Salary: $3.00 per call and $4.00 per training session, plus certifications bonuses of $.25 each
