Job Description
Entry level firefighter position with the City of Houma Fire Department. Starting salary $31,933.20 per year, increasing to $39,133.20 after 1 year with Firefighter I certification. 24/48 schedule (1 day on, 2 days off). Requires passing Civil Service Entrance Exam and Firefighter Recruit training program.
Requirements: High school diploma or equivalent, at least 18 years of age, valid Louisiana driver's license, pass Civil Service Entrance Exam (score 75+), pass physical, psychological and drug screening, complete Firefighter Recruit training (Firefighter I NFPA 1001)
Salary: $31,933.20 per year
