Resident Volunteer Firefighter

Resident Volunteer Firefighter program where participants live free-of-charge at a Salisbury fire station and volunteer as a firefighter or medical responder. Program provides training to state certification standards as firefighter, EMT, rescue technician, and fire inspector. Designed for students and inexperienced firefighters to gain experience. Participants may receive stipend to offset minor expenses. Requirements: 18 years old, high school diploma or GED, valid North Carolina driver's license, commitment to obtain and maintain certifications (EMT, Firefighter, Inspector, etc.), pass physical agility test (FEAT), oral interview, background check, physical exams, pre-service drug screening Application Deadline: Open Until Filled
