Job Description
Part-time, paid-on-call Firefighter/EMT position with Leland Township Fire and Rescue. Requires minimum one 12-hour shift per month and periodic response to large-scale emergency callouts. Department covers fire, medical, and rescue incidents serving approximately 450 calls annually with Advanced Life Support services.
Requirements: Minimum 18 years old, high school diploma or equivalent, Michigan State EMT license (or able to acquire within 2 years), Michigan Firefighter I and II certification (or able to acquire within 2 years), Hazardous Materials Operations level (or able to acquire within 2 years), good driving history, good work history, clean criminal history, physically and mentally fit, reside within 15 miles of Leelanau County border
Salary: $20-$26.00/hr. depending on qualifications and credentials
