Job Description
On-call firefighter position under the direction of the Fire Chief. Responsibilities include controlling and extinguishing fires, protecting life and property, and maintaining equipment. Must complete Firefighter I & II certification and Emergency Medical Responder training within 24 months.
Requirements: Age 18+, high school diploma/GED, valid Michigan driver's license, good driving record, physically able to perform duties, pass agility and physical exam, drug/alcohol free, able to acquire Firefighter I & II and EMR certifications, reliable transportation to fire station, ability to work as team, speak/read/write/understand English, mechanical aptitude
