Battalion Chief - EMS

Performs responsible administrative, supervisory, and technical duties related to emergency medical services system leadership, community paramedicine, EMS education and training, and interagency healthcare collaboration. Oversees EMS education programs, manages Alternative Response for Community Health (ARCH) Community Paramedicine Program, and participates in emergency incident response as assigned.

Requirements: High school diploma or GED, Missouri-licensed Paramedic, four years progressively responsible supervisory experience in EMS/fire service/EMS education/healthcare, valid state driver's license, HazMat Operations Level Certified, Missouri Community Paramedic or equivalent (within 1 year of hire), NIMS 100/200/700/800 (within 6 months), Missouri State Fire Instructor II Certification (within 1 year), American Heart Association Instructor ACLS & BLS (within 1 year), Firefighter 1 & 2 preferred but not required
