Job Description
Entry-level firefighter position requiring Missouri state EMT certification. Responsibilities include fire prevention, building inspections, firefighting, vehicle extrications, water rescues, basic life support, hazmat mitigation, and disaster response. 48-hour shifts on alternating basis with 96 hours off. Applicants must submit a completed application in person for testing.
Requirements: High School Graduate or GED, Valid Driver's License, at least 18 years of age, ability to communicate effectively in English (verbal and written), Firefighter I Certification, Firefighter II Certification, Hazmat Awareness and Operations Certifications, Missouri State Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) Certification, pass comprehensive written exam, physical ability and strength test, medical exam including vision/hearing tests, psychological exam
