Volunteer Firefighter

Volunteer firefighter position performing firefighting duties including combating, extinguishing, and preventing fires; answering emergency calls; administering first aid; and participating in training. Typical duties include laying and connecting hoses, directing water, raising and climbing ladders, ventilating buildings, performing salvage operations, and maintaining equipment.

Requirements: In-district volunteers must reside or work within Dayton Fire District boundaries. Out-of-district volunteers must be willing to volunteer a period of time each month to pull shifts at the Fire Station and respond to calls.
