Job Description
Junior Volunteer Firefighter position for ages 16-17 with the Arlington Fire District. Youth firefighters have restricted duties including no apparatus driving, no entry into burning buildings except supervised training, and cannot respond during school hours. Must upgrade to standard firefighter requirements upon turning 18.
Requirements: Age 16-17, parental/guardian permission required, must complete NYS Firefighter I or Scene Support course by 18th birthday, live or work within Arlington Fire District boundaries or approved outside program, valid junior operating license, obey all traffic laws and school attendance requirements
