Firefighter/Paramedic Lateral Transfer

Lateral entry position for experienced Firefighter/Paramedics from other jurisdictions. Exempt from competitive examinations but must meet minimum requirements of Civil Service Commission Rules and Regulations and City Charter. State of Ohio Paramedic licensure and Firefighter II certification required.

Requirements: State of Ohio Paramedic licensure, Firefighter II certification or state equivalent, full-time fire and paramedic experience

Salary: Starting wage for a candidate in 2026 with less than four (4) years of full-time fire and paramedic experience shall be $27.01, with an increase after one (1) full year with the City of Brunswick. The starting wage for a candidate with four (4) or more years of full-time fire and paramedic experience shall be $29.22, with an increase after one (1) full year with the City of Brunswick.
