Job Description
Entry-level firefighter position with the Newark Fire Department. Firefighter/EMTs are appointed through competitive exam and must be eligible for Firefighter II and EMT certification. As a condition of employment, firefighters are required to become paramedics as soon as practical. Position involves company inspections, public education activities, emergency response operations, and knowledge of apparatus and equipment operation.
