Probationary Firefighter

Montgomery County ESD #3 is hiring firefighters for probationary positions. Test day is October 2, 2026. Candidates must submit a Letter of Intent to Test by September 30, 2026 at 4:00 p.m. Requires Basic Firefighter certification and EMT-Basic certification by hiring date.

Requirements: Age 18-40 (prior full-time experience may exempt age limit), High School Diploma or GED, Texas Commission on Fire Protection Basic Firefighter certification, Texas Department of State Health Services EMT-Basic certification (must be certified by hiring date), valid Texas driver's license with no more than 2 moving violations in previous year, no DWI convictions, no felony convictions, good moral character
