Full-Time Firefighter/EMT-B

Full-time Firefighter/EMT-B assigned to 24-hour shifts on a preset rotating schedule. Responsible for responses to fire and emergency medical incidents, public education programs, pre-fire plan surveys, fire station maintenance, and fire apparatus maintenance. Offers advancement opportunities and all-hazard/wildland deployment opportunities with Texas Intrastate Fire Mutual Aid System.

Requirements: Current basic or higher firefighter certification by Texas Commission on Fire Protection, minimum EMT-Basic certification, valid Texas Class A or B driver's license (within 6 months), NIMS 100/200/700/800 certifications, Courage to be Safe course certificate, high school diploma or GED (associate degree preferred), 18+ years old, US citizen or permanent resident, pass medical exam and drug screening, pass criminal background check, pass District Physical Ability Test, 130/190 Wildland training preferred

Salary: $50,000 – $60,000 based on years of experience and certifications
