Call Staff Firefighter

Part-time call staff firefighters respond to emergencies on an as-needed basis. Call staff receive a stipend for shifts plus hourly wage for calls, training and duty time. Members can work 12-hour shifts and those living within 10 minutes of the station may use a 'respond from home' model. Williston Fire will sponsor new members through VT Fire Academy Firefighter Level One class.

Requirements: VT Fire Academy Firefighter Level One certification (or enrolled to complete during first year), EMT/AEMT/Paramedic certification preferred but not required, must live within 10 minutes of fire station or be willing to work assigned shifts
