Job Description
Part-time call staff position for firefighters to respond to emergencies on an as-needed basis. Call staff receive a stipend for shifts plus hourly wage for calls, training and duty time. Orientation includes 3-day training course with hands-on drills. VT Fire Academy Firefighter Level One certification provided in first year.
Requirements: Firefighter Level One certification (or willing to obtain), prior experience preferred but not required, live within 10 minutes of fire station for 'respond from home' option or commit to 12-hour shifts, AEMT/Paramedic or EMT certification preferred for EMS calls
