Firefighter/Paramedic

Career staff position protecting life and property by performing firefighting, emergency medical care, rescue, hazardous materials, fire prevention, and other duties. Includes driving fire apparatus, operating pumps and equipment, performing fire suppression and salvage operations, administering emergency medical care, participating in fire prevention inspections, maintaining equipment, and community education.

Requirements: High school diploma or GED, State of Wisconsin Firefighter I & II Certification, Wisconsin EMT-Paramedic license (required by July 1, 2022), State of Wisconsin Driver Operator - Pumper (within one year of hire), Valid Wisconsin Driver's License, 21 years or older, U.S. citizen, no felony convictions within past 7 years, ability to read and write English, good moral character, NFPA 1582 compliance
